Title: "So What Comes Next?"

Summary: Learn how to write a query letter, construct a book proposal, and self-publish your novel on two different platforms

There might be nothing more frustrating than taking steps to pursue your dream but then come to a standstill because the process is too overwhelming. If I’m talking to you, then let me help!

Whether you need help writing a book proposal, querying a literary agency, or self-publishing your book, “So What Comes Next?” is a crash course for anyone who is ready to take that next step in their writing journey. This isn’t a talk intended for the seasoned published author; it’s an instructional guide intentionally designed to assist not-yet-published authors on their road to success.

Target Audience: Anyone ages 15+

Topic: Leadership Development

Title: "You First, Leadership Second"

Summary: Explore six different components of self-growth that will help establish yourself as a positive, influential leader

Description: I don’t know what catch phrases you have heard throughout your life, but when it came to leadership (often in the sports and academic world) I often heard things like “Someone step up and be a leader!”, “I’m looking for who’s going to lead out there!”, or “Are you a leader or a follower?” All of these things were said as if stepping into a leadership role proved something about your potential, demonstrated you were a good person, or automatically benefited the people around you.

But the problem is that being a leader in itself doesn’t mean you are impacting the world for good. There are a lot of “leaders” who are impacting the world but not in a positive or empowering way. They may be qualified, but they aren’t quality. Which leads us to the root of it all: if you want to become a quality leader, you first have to become a quality person.

In “You First, Leadership Second,” we explore six areas that you need to establish and implement in your personal life to help you grow as an individual and become a leader worth following. Becoming a quality leader is not an accident; it is an intentional process that requires intentional action. That is what this course is all about—equipping you with the knowledge and the skills you need to become a better version of yourself so that you can become a positive, influential leader in today’s society.

Topic: Nonfiction Book Workshop

Title: "But Do the Demons Know Your Name?"

Summary: Take a journey to evaluate your spiritual health, define your identity, discover your purpose, and develop strategies to engage the enemy on the battlefield every day

Description: Satan and his demons don’t take many Christian teenagers seriously. They simply aren't convinced that these youth are a threat. So much so that demons couldn’t pick these individuals out of a lineup. The demons wouldn’t even know their names.

Why? Because in a world that is image-obsessed and popularity-driven, the term “Christian” has almost become more of a label to parade than a lifestyle to pursue. The intentions are there, but the actions are missing. And we have to do something about it.

"But Do the Demons Know Your Name" is a workshop that takes you through the different elements of my latest nonfiction book, Demons Know My Name. Personal as well as practical, this course is designed to empower high schoolers to live spiritually lethal and awaken a newfound sense of what it means to become a serious threat to the enemy.

Topic: Discovering Your Purpose

Title: "Why Am I Here?"

Summary: Work through a five-step process to discover who you are, why you have been created, and what to do about it

Description: For some of us, the journey to discovering our purpose can seem daunting, draining, complicated, or just downright overwhelming. It’s simply too big of an idea to grasp. But it doesn’t have to be that way. You don’t have to wait until that age, or that phase of life, or that career change to discover your purpose (and you definitely won’t discover it by sitting around cruising through life thinking that one day it will magically appear to you). Discovering who you are and why you were created is an intentional act that you can start right now.

In “Why Am I Here?” I introduce a five-step process to help you begin discovering your purpose, offer three ways to evaluate if your “purpose” is legitimate, and provide practical suggestions on how to apply your purpose in your everyday life. Rather than a magic formula, this talk lays out a basic approach that will make pursuing the answer to “Why am I here?” a little less intimidating.
